Geometric Prints

ANNOUNCEMENT! ANNOUNCEMENT! Our blog will now be featuring Twin Bro and Twin Sis(our youngest siblings, who - you guessed it, also happen to be twins.) Little Sis and I are happy to have them aboard.

As I'm sure you've all seen in practically every clothing store everywhere, Aztec prints are in. We think that these colorful, geometric prints are a fun break from the organic floral prints that have been in style forever. We each grabbed are favorite Aztec printed piece from our closets, and created a couple of different ways to wear each.

We'll start with Twin Sis, who chose a solid black and white geometric printed skirt (from Tilly's), a simple white tee, and black Toms. With her second look, she added a cozy gray cardigan. For her third, she threw on a maroon scarf (Forever 21); the perfect pop of fall color to compliment her black and white outfit.

Twin Bro got in on the Aztec action too. He proves that dudes can pull of the popular geometric print with an Aztec tee (American Eagle) and colored skinny jeans.

Little Sis also wore a fall-colored geometric tee. She changed it up from urban casual with black skinny jeans and sneakers to more of an organic "hippy chic" look with a flowy skirt and sandals. She added her favorite earth-toned jewelry to compliment the look. The top is from Wet Seal ($8).

I have a favorite Aztec print dress that is sooooo comfortable, cool, and easy to wear. It's pretty much my favorite. I found it at Ross for $10 (talk about a steal.) I went for a casual date night look with a cropped black jacket and black wedges for the first look. The second look is simple and summery with a floral necklace and sandals, and I added boots and a denim over-shirt for cooler weather. Versatility is always good.

I found this cute Aztec print Toms tutorial on Fun & Oblivious. All you need is a Sharpie and white canvas shoes. Love it.
